ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The overall concept of The Wayward Gentleman was to create a brand of wine that was a mixture of a high-end product and humor. The final product was packaged in distressed brown paper bags as an homage to winos everywhere. Having the paper bag exterior allowed me to have complete freedom on the actual bottle and make each one different but still connected throughout the layout of each separate type of wine. Each label was screenprinted with a different photograph and placement of the type logo and different colored sticker. On the bottom of each label was a list of food pairings that would bring out the flavor of each one. As an added bonus, I made sure to add one food pairing that didn’t work with the wine. I wanted this project to showcase my style of humor with high quality design and to prove that just because it is funny doesn’t mean that it has to look bad.
